the year include: Diwali, Geeta Jayanti, Sahitya Kunj (a literary meet of the local
talent), Sangeet Prabhat (a day filled with Indian Classical Music), Picnic,Vasantotsav,
and marathi plays by local artists as well as artists from India |

| In August 1995,
at Ganeshotsava celebration, Marathi Vishwa started its library. The library is maintained
at the residence of Ravi and Varsha Gadgil in Edison, NJ.The books can be borrowed by appointment
by calling the family at (732) 767-0638. |

| In order to
promote the interest of the young generation in Indias culture and history Marathi
Vishwa has been conducting an essay competition last 5 years |

Vishwa Anandi Gopal Scholarship |
Marathi
Vishwa awards two scholarships of $500 every year. These two scholarships are awarded to
one undergraduate and one graduate student. One $100 runner-up scholarship is also awarded
to an undergraduate student. The awardees are selected by a selection committee appointed
by the Marathi Vishwa board of directors. |
