NRE deposit rates revised by Canara Bank
Interest rates on single bulk domestic NRE and NRNR term deposits of Rs 15 lakh up to Rs 1 crore has been revised by Canara Bank by 0.25% AND the same would come into effect from September 23, 2001 As on now the bank is paying 5,25% for domestic term deposits of less than Rs 15 lakh for tenors between 15 and 45 days,

the rate is 6.25% for 46-90 days, 6.50% for 91-179 days,7% for 180 days to less than 1 year and 8% for one year but less than two years, 8.50% for 2 years to less than 3 years and 9% for 3 years and above.

For NRE term deposits of less than Rs 15 lakh, it is 7.5% currently for a maturity profile of six months to a year,8% for one year to less than 2 years but less than 3 years and 9% for three years and above.

For NRNR deposits of less than Rs 15 lakh the bank is currently paying 8% for six months to less than one year, 8.50% for one year to less than two years and 9% for 3 years and above. For single bulk deposits of Rs 1 crore and above (domestic, NRE and NRNR) the interest rates would be customized and decided by the head office.
