| Investor protection fund gets nod from Govt |
|
THE GOVERNMENT on 27/7/2001 Friday said that the proposed investor education and protection fund under the Companies (Amendment) Act,
1999 had been cleared by Comptroller and Auditor General of India with finalized procedure for receipt and expenditure relating to the fund.Procedural changes in the proposed fund, as suggested by CAG, had been referred to the department of legal affairs for its opinion and advice and the fund operationalization rules is expected to be notified shortly.
