(AFRS) was founded in 1985.It is the brain child of Indians in USA., It is a residential
school for boys.The school is affiliated to the council for Indian
School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. Imparting education from standard I to

It is located at
Gudibanda, 84 kms to the north of Bangalore. It is sprawled
around 54 acers of land. |
Admission Procedure
Boys
are admitted on the basis of their previous school record and/or performance in the
Entrance Test in English and General Mathematics. Admissions are made to all classes
except Standards IX and X, depending on vacancies. The School has classes from IV to X and
is divided into Prep School - Classes IV and V, Junior School - Classes VI, VII and VIII,
and Senior School, 30 students in each. The Academic Year commences from June 1 every year
and consists of two terms, June to September and November to March.

Facilities
and Extra curricular activities in School:
While swimming, cricket, hockey, foot
ball, volley ball, basketball, badminton and table tennis form the major sports, roller
skating, physical training and tennis are other popular activities. The health club houses
multi-gym equipment for those who are more physically oriented. Students are trained in
Yoga and meditation for their all round development. Under Uniformed Services, students
are members of NCC, Scouts or Cubs.
The various clubs include the Photography Club, Science club, Philately
Club, Histrionics Club, Literary Club and Nature Club. Students are encouraged to take up
Social Service under the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Vegetable gardening and
Horticulture form some of the SUPW activities for the High School children.
