Availability of
Seats: The school will be inaugurated in June 1999 with Academic grades from 5th to 8th (both inclusive) with less than 25 students in each class. In the next academic year
2000-2001, grades 9 and 10 will be opened. In the next subsequent academic year grades 11
and 12 will be added. School will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary
Education (CBSE) New Delhi . The decision for provisional admission
will be based on the information provided in the registration form and on the performance
of students in the Entrance Tests. Maximum strength will not be more than 25

Facilities
and Extra curricular activities in School: JIS provides top
class facilities with spacious computer labs and a modern library with a large collection
of books and a good collection of audio /video cassettes & CDs and library will be
open for long hours for the students to prepare for their activities like projects
,symposia etc.
Institution also provides an opportunity
for students to take part in extra-curricular activities like Histrionics Club, Painter's
gallery, Artist guild, Raman's team, Hobby clubs,Adventure Clubs(Sahasi),Eco-club
(Nisarga) and Calligraphy club.Apart from this Yoga and Meditation will be a regular
feature.
Languages
that can be opted: English is the medium of
Instruction and English is to be studied as first language. Kannada/Hindi/Sanskrit is to
be studied as second language. Hindi is to be studied as third language by those who opt
for Kannada/Sanskrit as second language. French/Spanish would be offered as a choice of
second language later depending on the demand from students. Computer education is
compulsory for all from V grade onwards.

Registration, applicant has to take admission test in Curricular subjects namely English,
Maths, Science and Social Science based on the syllabus in the previous class i.e.,
current grade in which he/she is studying. Admission Tests can be taken either on any
working day (other than Saturdays) in the premises of JIRS or on the dates specially
notified at other centres. Selected Candidate will be intimated and given provisional
admission.
Procedure for filling and signing
application:
Prospectus with the application
form may be had from JIRS by paying the Prospectus Fee.
Application for admission in the
prescribed forms should be sent to the Registrar, JIRS, duly filled along with the
prescribed Registration Fee.
Fees should be paid either in cash or by
a crossed bank draft drawn in favour of Jain International Residential School and payable
at Bangalore.
After Registration, applicant has to take
admission test in Curricular subjects namely English, Maths, Science and Social Science
based on the syllabus in the previous class i.e., current grade in which he/she is
studying.

Recent Photographs: 12 copies each of
pass port sized and stamp sized colour photographs along with the negatives are to be
enclosed
Registration fee: Enclose non-refundable
& non-transferable Account Payee Bank draft for the Registration fee drawn in favour
of Jain International Residential School & payable at Bangalore.
The Health Form: Enclose the Medical Form
duly filled and signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner/physician.
School Reports: Enclose copies of the
previous year and current year reports.
Character Certificate: These should be
addressed to the Principal with recommendations from the Head
master/Headmistress/Principal of the students present school.
Undertakings: Enclose the certificates of
undertakings duly signed.
