Pinegrove is located in Shimla Hills. It is 3.5 km off the main Kalka-Shimla National Highway in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Taxis are easily available from Deharampur. All state and private transport buses going to Kasauli stop at the school. The nearest airport is Chandigarh, 60 km from school.

The admissions are offered on the basis of vacancies. Generally it occurs in classes I to VIII only. The preference would be given to brothers and sisters of present Pinegrovians and children of serving defence personnel.

Registration - Registration is normally open throughout the year. The following should be submitted while registration.

1. Duly filled in application form
2. Two copies of latest passport size photograph of the child
3. Registration fees (non-refundable)
4. An attested photocopy of the original birth certificate and
5. A signed copy of the school's Rules and Regulations

After registration admission test and interviews would be conducted sometime in the middle of February. Mere registration does not guarantee admission.

1. Original School leaving/transfer certificate
2. Original Report Card of previous class passed
3. Medical Performa and physical fitness certificate.
4. Original Birth Certificate (For Class I students)

Fee is to be paid in school office by cash or bank draft in favour of Principal, Pinegrove School, payable at the Punjab and Sind Bank, Garkhal, The State Bank of Patiala, Dhrarmpur. Cheques will not be accepted. In the first year all the fee may be paid in one lumpsum. And in the subsequent years the fee may be paid in three equal instalments. Fee once paid is not refundable.

Childrens are encouraged to participated in co-curriculur and extra curricular activities to enhance there artistic ability, technical skills and aesthetic sense. Activities undertaken are music, art craft, dancing, singing, dramatics, stiching, knitting, embroidery gardening etc. The emphasis is laid on regular games and sports to keep students physically and mentally fit.

The school gives due attention to medical fitness and personal hygiene of the students. A child specialist, and two other doctors are on the panel for visiting the school besides the facilities of a well equipped Primary Health Centre and laboratory at Dharampur, about three kilometers from the school, are available. For very serious or complicated cases the children may be referred to Chandigarh.
