Justice
Ahmed Moosa Ebrahim has held very strong bonded
relations with India. His grandparents migrated from
India but still he has maintained the soft corner with
India through cricket.
Ahmed
Moosa Ebrahim is a retired Judge from the Supreme Court
of Zimbabwe. He studied law at England where he
developed his love toward cricket. He is awarded the
Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award, 2004 by Prime Minister
Vajpayee during the function, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas
organised by the Ministry of External Affairs and the
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Ebrahim's
love for sports is not confined to cricket alone. He is
an avid follower of golf, rugby, soccer and tennis. In
fact, he has also served as chairman of a number of
soccer disciplinary boards in Zimbabwe.
Ebrahim
is also the chairman of the Zimbabwe Cricket Union
coaching committee since 1992. He was called to
the English Bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1962 and appointed
Supreme Court Justice of Zimbabwe in 1990. He was
formerly Director of Public Prosecutions.
He was
Chairman of Round Table 45 for 2 years; member of Rotary
before standing down fowwlowing his appointment as a
judge. He is currently chairman of a cultural
organisation in Harare. He has also served as chairman
of a number of soccer disciplinary boards in Zimbabwe.
He has 32
years experience in cricket administration at club,
provincial and national level including Zimbabwe Cricket
Union disciplinary committee chaiorman 1990 and Zimbabwe
Cricket Union coaching committee chairman 1992.
