Mr. Ram Buxani born in Hyderabad, had his early education in Baroda. He had to struggle for existence after the death of his father, the search for livelihood led him to learn typing after his school. His first job was in the same institution where he learnt typing. He later went to Dubai for a job in International Traders (ME) Ltd.

Mr. Ram is one of the most respected businessman in Dubai and has been a resident for nearly four decades. He possesses many facets, a social organiser, community leader, writer, actor, NRI spokesman. He is the director of the world-wide Intro Group Inc., and of International Traders (Middle East) Limited.

Mr. Ram is influenced by the Japanese way of working putting hard work and collective decision making. He has played a key role in interacting with the Indian Government, and has been given the coveted "Bharat Ratna" Man of the year Award, he has also been honored with Jhulelal Award, Shiromani Award, Udyog Ratan Award, Overseas Indian Award by Priyadarshini Academy and Citation by President of India.

Ram Buxani was in the Raunaq Singh Committee appointed by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India to identify ports with potential to be made into Free Trade Zones for India. He was also the Chairman of Indian Sports Club, Dubai , Vice-chairman of Indian High School Dubai the biggest Indian school in the region, Founder Chairman of Forum of Electronic Distributors, Founder Patron of Friends of Overseas Sindhis, Bombay established in 1980, a Trustee of Sindhu Vidya Mandal Trust, Baroda and is connected with many such other organisations.

Mr. Buxani is one of the main promoters of IndusInd, an institution established by renowned industrialists, professionals from all over the world to promote investment and collective participation in economic growth of India. He started Ram Buxani Foundation nearly a decade ago which supports artists and authors to promote literary and cultural activities. The Foundation in addition to other humanitarian activities, gives awards to two outstanding persons in public life for excellence in service, literature and culture every year

Mr. Buxani encourages substantial investment back in India but also he finds time to guide and encourage prospective investors to do so through Overseas Indians Economic Form - U.A.E., his brainchild and a prime NRI Business Body in the area. The main objective of this firm is to establish economic ties between India and UAE and to promote NRI Investments in India.
