Indian consulate in Afghanistan attacked

Indian Consulate in Afghanistan was attack by throwing hand grenade in eastern city of Jalalabad. This resulted in damaging of wall of the building and shattering windows. However no one was injured in the attack.

The attack took place late on Saturday, according to witness spotted four people driving by the consulate in two cars. Witnesses spotted four people driving by the consulate in two cars. The hand grenade was tossed into the building from one of the cars before they sped away.

The consulate was closed at the time of the attack Four Afghan men were detained after they were caught speeding on a road near the consulate immediately after the explosion and were being investigated.
