Two NRIs in Silicon Valley Hall of Fame

Two Indian Americans who have displayed their enormous capabilities in contributing to the developments of the Silicon Valley and the Greater Bay area has been inducted into the prestigious Silicon Valley Engineering Hall of Fame.The two NRIs are Kumar Malavalli, co-founder of Brocade Communications Systems Inc. and Mihir Parikh, founder and former CEO of Asyst Technologies. 

They now share the same platform as those of big wigs like William Hewlett and David Packard, co-founder of Hewlett Packard etc.

Malavalli has contributed to the development of fibre channel standard and products for the past 15 years. He hold several US patents to his credit in fibre channel technology.

On the other hand Parikh has graduated from University of California at Berkeley and has worked at various engineering management positions with Hewlett Packard an IBM. His works mainly concentrated on electron beam lithography, theoretical and experimental radiation physics, applications of tunneling spectroscopy, and wafer automation and transfer systems.
