Poland’s PM Leszek Miller to visit India
Leszek Miller, Poland’s PM is expected to arrive in India for a state visit. Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee invited him.
He will be in India from February 15 to 18. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising of officials in foreign economic relations, defence and science and technology. Also included in his entourage, are Polish businessmen. He will participate in a wide range of bilateral deliberations. He will participate in a business meeting, organized by CII and FICCI. Leading Indian and Polish business representatives are expected to participate in this meeting. Miller is also expected to visit Agra and Bangalore.
The visit will be the first by a Polish Prime Minister to India after Poland’s transition to a multi-party democracy in the early 1990s. Agreements in the fields of combating organized crime and international terrorism, extradition and defence cooperation, and a cultural exchange program will be signed by both the governments during this visit. |
