Resident Indians can invest in Global bonds

Citibank has launched a scheme of Investment in Global Bonds, an investment opportunity in which resident Indians are allowed to invest in rated bonds issued by overseas companies.

Citibank is the first bank in India to launch such a scheme. The bank will act as a facilitator in helping investors to invest in AAA rated bonds of overseas companies that adhere to the norms specified by Reserve Bank of India.
