Maldives wooing Indian tourist

Maldives which is emerging as one of the most popular destination among Indians is campaining to attract more tourist from India. Maldives Minister for Tourism Hasan Sobir said, becoming popular is not a criteria it still has to become an important place for Indian tourist.

Hasan Sobir said Maldives is known for its tourism and tuna. More than 80 percent of its tourist come from European countries. He said India is not far behind, according to figures available about six million Indians travel to many countries and visit the South East Asian countries, Australia and other leading countries.
