| Application Procedure |
| |
| You will have to make the application in the prescribed form (to be filled in duplicate) along with the necessary documents. |
| Application can be submitted either in person or through a travel agent. The processing time is 24 hours. |

| Tourist Visa |
| |
| The following documents are to be submitted: |

Two visa application forms duly completed. |

Two recent passport size photographs. |
| - |
Passport which is valid for at least three months beyond the date of expiry of the visa. |

Foreign exchange endorsement. A minimum of $50 is mandatory. |

If you are not carrying Foreign Exchange, sponsorship certificate in the prescribed form. |
| It must be executed on more than a 10 Taka Stamp paper and countersigned by a first class Magistrate in Bangladesh. ( A foreign exchange endorsement for $50 is mandatory even in this case). |
| A Tourist visa is valid for thirty days. A maximum stay of upto thirty days is allowed. The processing time is 24 hrs. |

| Business Visa |
|

Business correspondence with the business associates in Bangladesh. |

In case an invitation is sent by the Government of Bangladesh directly to the High commission for attending a seminar, business approval or joint venture projects, you are exempted from the mandatory foreign exchange endorsement requirement. |
| Multiple entry visas with a validity for a period of 5 years are issued to bonafide businessmen on the recommendation of the Ministry of Industries or Board of Investment, Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA), Dhaka and Chittagong. |

| Work Visa |
| |
| The Work permit (visa) can be obtained through two modes. One is the sponsor in Bangladesh applying in Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh. Once it is approved, you can make an application to the High Commission With the copy of approval. The second way is the applicant applying personally to the High Commission. In both the cases following documents are needed: |

| Re-entry Visa |
| |
| Once you have reached Bangladesh on a valid visa you can apply for a re-entry visa if you wish to leave Bangladesh with the intention of coming back. This enables you to visit Bangladesh without a fresh visa. The application has to be made to the department of Immigration and Passports. With this visa you can re-enter Bangladesh within a period of one month. |
