Transit Visas
These are issued for applicants who wish to stop over in the Indonesian territory and will continue their journey to places outside Indonesia. Transit visas are valid for 90 days and the applicant can stay for a maximum of 14 days in Indonesia. This visa is also valid for those who wish to join their transport vehicles (as a part of their work) and move to places outside Indonesia.

Single visit visas
These are valid for a period of 60 days. They are issued to applicants who intend to enjoy a holiday in Indonesia, visit their relatives / friends, undertake cultural visits, and to undertake business negotiations. Applicants who are participating in exchange visits involving academics, art, or participating in sports activities are also included in this category. Academic applicants who intend to participate in conferences and seminars and journalist applicants must apply for these single visit visas.

Multiple visit visas
These visas are valid for a period of one year. Every time he enters Indonesia, the holder of this visa is permitted to stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 60 days.

- A Passport that has at least 18 months of validity.
- Completed application form
- Two Passport Sized color photographs.
- Letter from the sponsor in Indonesia
- Show proof that the applicant has sufficient funds for his stay in Indonesia
Collective visit visas
These visas are valid for a period of 60 days. These visas are issued only to those applicants who intend to go to Indonesia either on a holiday / tour or to participate in social / cultural activities in Indonesia.
To apply for collective visit visas, there must be a group of applicants. The minimum number suggested is 5 and the maximum is 25 people. All of them must enter and leave Indonesia together.

· Passport for every member of the group. The passport must be valid at least for six months from the date of departure from Indonesia.
· Two color passport sized photographs of every member of the group
· Completed application form
· Letter of recommendation from the sponsor
· Confirmed return Air tickets
· Show proof that they have sufficient funds for their stay in Indonesia

Limited stay visas
These are issued to applicants who intend to
· Invest in Indonesia
· Work as an expert for a government or a private institute
· Perform any religious duties
· Take part in any training program or scientific research
· To join an Indonesian spouse living in Indonesia or a spouse staying in Indonesia with a limited stay visa / permit
· To join an Indonesian parent living in Indonesia or a parent staying in Indonesia with limited stay visa / permit
· To seek repatriation (for former Indonesian nationals)
Limited stay visas are valid for a period of one year.

· Passport that is valid for more than one year
· Two color passport sized photographs
· Letter of recommendation from the sponsor
· Completed and updated curriculum vitae
· Copy of the birth certificate or marriage certificate (in case of those who those accompanying their spouses or parents who are Indonesian nationals, or accompanying their spouses or parents who are foreign citizens holding limited stay permits and living in Indonesia)
· Letter of recommendation from the institution that has assigned the applicant for conducting activities in religious missions, scientific research, education or social fields
· Letter of recommendation from the Technical department, Department of Manpower, and the Investment co-ordinating Board, and a copy of the letter of agreement to employ foreign labor (for those who wish to work in a foreign investment or domestic investment venture or as a technical professional on assignment by a foreign aid organisations).
· Show proof that the applicant is a former Indonesian citizen. The applicant must also show proof that he has sufficient funds to take care of his living expenses in Indonesia (this is for those who are seeking repatriation). |
